Professional Development in Academic Editing

Since completing my PhD in 2015, I have supplemented my academic experience by pursuing continuing education courses to improve my skills as an academic editor.

This coursework has enhanced by ability to edit research proposals and manuscripts for clarity, concision, and accessibility for people with disabilities.

To supplement my continuing professional development, I also facilitate an editing book club, which meets monthly.

In May 2018, I won the Editors Canada Claudette Upton Scholarship, the national editing award for emerging editors.
